3-Point Post Hole Digger & Parts for Tractor

Post hole digger is a utility tool that can be used to dig small circular or square holes up to several feet deep for tasks such as building fences, planting trees, and building. We can provide Post hole digger and its related parts: such as gear box, PTO shaft, boom frame, etc

3-Point Post Hole Digger

The 3-Point Post Hole digger , also known as the earth auger, is a post digging tool installed on a three-point mount for digging deeper circular or square holes. It is commonly used in construction or agricultural projects, such as digging holes for trees fence or flowers, and installing holes for fences.
The 3-point Post Hole digger auger is typically mounted on a 3-point mount at the back of the cab to provide stable support. It consists of a large excavator component and a pair of cutters, capable of excavating circular and square holes with a depth of more than 6 feet. Its design makes it more stable and robust, and can reduce the labor intensity of the operator.
Because it can be connected through a three-point hitch, the 3-point Post Hole digger is very suitable for use on agricultural equipment such as tractors. It is widely used in the fields of construction, agriculture, forestry, etc., extending people’s work ability and improving production efficiency.

Structure of 3 Point Post Hole Digger

Auger bit: With a sharp head, it can dig out soil, and there are usually different sizes and depths available.

Post hole digger gearbox: An important part of transmitting power from the tractor to the drill bit. The gearbox can transmit power to the drill bit through the tractor’s power take-off shaft, causing it to rotate to dig holes. Typically, transmissions have multiple speed settings to adjust speed and torque for different soil types and depths.

Three-point boom pole: To ensure the stability of the equipment during use, it can be connected to a three-point connection frame, usually connected to the rear of the tractor. The design of the three-point connection frame also helps to control the position and depth of the holes by providing angle and depth adjustments.

④ PTO shaft: The power take-off (PTO) shaft is connected to the rear of the tractor and provides the required torque and rotational speed to drive the drill.

How to Install  3-point Post Hole Digger to Your Tractor?

Step 1: Fill the gearbox with lubricant.
The gearbox is transported without lubricant. Apply lubricant to the bottom of the side plug. Do not overfill as this may damage the seal. Check the oil level every 50 hours of operation.

Step 2: Connect the boom.
Connect the boom to the top link mounting bracket on the tractor using the top link pin and a special pin that passes through the hole in the bottom of the boom.

Step 3: Connect the A-frame.
Connect the A-frame to the tractor’s three point lift arm using the supplied tow pin assembly with nuts and lock washers. After selecting the required holes for adjustment using the A-frame pins and special pins, connect the A-frame to the boom.

Step 4: Connect the gearbox.
Use the gearbox traction pin provided with the gearbox to connect the gearbox to the boom and secure it with the provided cotter pin. The input and output shaft shields are connected to the gearbox.

Step 5: Connect the auger.
Attach the auger to the output shaft at the bottom of the gearbox using the supplied 1/2 inch hex head screws, 1/2 inch lock washers, and 1/2 inch hex nuts.

Step 6: Connect the PTO shaft.
Connect the driveline to the gearbox input shaft using a hex head screw, lock washer, and hex nut. Connect the driveline to the gearbox input shaft. Insert the set screw into the hole in the yoke that aligns with the groove on the gearbox input shaft.

Step 7: Connect the tractor end of the driveline.
Connect the tractor end of the power train to the tractor PTO shaft. Push the spring loaded pin into the spline yoke and slide it onto the tractor’s spline PTO shaft. Loosen the overhead and push until it locks securely.

Step 8: Check the tightness of all bolts and nuts.
The stabilizer should be kept tight to avoid lateral swinging of the pillar hole of the excavator. When assembling pile excavator and tractor accessories,
