Remove the PTO shaft from the gearbox using a push pin
Step 1: Turn off the engine
Firstly, place the tractor's transmission in park mode. Then, activate the parking brake and turn off the ignition key.
Step 2: Position the PTO shaft
Go to the back of the tractor. The PTO shaft should be located between the rear wheels.
Step 3: Press the push rod to release
If your PTO shaft has a push pin on the gearbox, simply press the release pin and the shaft will come off. You can find the pin or button under the PTO cover or cover that covers the shaft.
If the shaft does indeed come off after pressing the pin, try swinging the PTO shaft back and forth until it disengages. Next, loosen all safety chains that connect the shield to the shaft.
