Four precautions for structural design of reducer

The reducer is a separate part for speed reduction between the prime mover and the working machine. It is generally made into a closed transmission device. The transmission parts, shafts, bearings, etc. are installed in a cast iron or welded box, which is called a reducer or a reduction box. .

There are many types of reducers, such as involute cylindrical gear reducers, double arc cylindrical gear reducers, cycloid pin wheel reducers, NGW planetary gear reducers, three-ring reducers, arc cylindrical worm reducers, etc. The standard reducer should be selected first in the design to facilitate the design, manufacture, repair and replacement.

When the applicable standard reducer cannot be selected, a special reducer should be designed. The main issues that should be considered when designing are: transmission type, transmission layout, transmission parameter design, design of transmission parts, supports and cabinets, etc. Lubrication and sealing design and heat dissipation, etc. You can also optimize the design to improve the design quality.
