What are the Different Types of PTO tubes?

The North American power take-off transmission system is usually one of four shapes: square, circular, rectangular, or spline.
On the other hand, transmission systems with shapes like lemons, stars, or three blades may be metric. Specifically, lemon and star shaped contours typically belong to the German series PTO shaft. The trilobal outline indicates that it is an Italian series axis.

Get a PTO Shaft That Works With Your Tractor

When purchasing PTO shafts, you need to consider several factors. After purchasing, you may find that some adjustments are needed to make the shaft size suitable for your tractor.
For example, you may need to cut the powertrain system to an appropriate length for overlapping operations. If you lift your tool to open the shaft, you may eventually damage your equipment. There should be at least one-third overlap between the shaft and the tube. For the sliding sleeve, there will be approximately 3 inches of overlap.
